BEING EVICTED
One of my friends on the east coast, Gregg (yes, he insists on spelling his name with the extra “g”) has staved off bancarrota several times in his life. He’s also beaten off getting evicted by his landlords multiple times, but just barely. He’s moved around a lot from Boston to Philadelphia and back again and has worked in newspapers for years. However, he didn’t always. Right after he graduated from college, he worked as bag boy at a grocery store. His brother even loves telling the story of how one day all the other employees found Gregg passed out asleep on a lounge chair in the middle of the store. Since then, Gregg’s worked for more than a few newspapers and finally landed an administrative job at a local college. He also got married to a schoolteacher who for some reason makes far more money than any other schoolteachers I have ever heard of. He’s happy and that’s the real important thing. He’s not making as much money as he’d like, but no one ever does. He even admits that he sometimes relies too much on his wife to pay the bills, but she’s the breadwinner of their household. What can he do?
